Sugar 05:15
Sugar I've never told you how you make me feel like an angel, glowing, like a seraphim Confide in me with your green and silver eyes so sweet, you make me quiver with delight, delight, delight. But do you, do you even recognize my face? Could you tell I'm the one who freely fell from grace For your love, those green silver eyes so sweet, you make me glimmer with a hope that beats alive, alive, alive. (Interlude) All I expect is to reach you in ways like a thief in the night dispels his reckless gaze towards his prize Those green and silver eyes so free, you make me a sinner to others' lies, you see, to them I'm blind, I'm blind, I'm blind.

Yearn 04:07
Yearn My carefree heart has never known what yearning was until the day that I met you that fateful Tuesday afternoon. I could've sworn that I knew what you were thinking, another girl to pass away the daily cares, but that I simply wasn't, and then you became scared: "What is she trying to get at, when all I want is to be free? I'm a man who makes his own way in this world, something from nothing is all I care to be." Six brooding months along, without a word or warning, he's come back in the flesh, swift with his feet, but I could sense he was still running, and not just from me. What I am trying to get at is that what I want is to be free. I know I could never truly own you, just love you, always, as is. In this life where someone always wants piece out of you, let me love you, for nothing, as is. Still, he would run, fast for the horizon, but I know when he's ready, he'll return, still I've got nothing left to do here but to yearn. I know I could never truly own you, just love you, always, as is. In this life where someone always wants piece out of you, let me love you, for nothing, as is.

Three Pennies Falling She's a lamb ripe for slaughter but she doesn't care, there's no use for any scare tactics here. She's a prodigal daughter, lost by herself, and losing who she used to be for the man who would save her, who gave her, a boxful of promises and dreams that in the end are just pennies, pennies cast into a fountainless stream While over and over again, We keep on falling. He's a man out for something but brother, he's scared that there's nothing but nothing to see. And the lights that had called him are truck stops and signs telling him where he can't be. If his father could see him, believe him, he'd drop all his bundles of grief, even if they're just pennies, pennies lost under a passenger seat While over and over again, We keep on falling. Falling fast, straight for the sun Falling so slow, there's nowhere to run. It's the damn pressure talking, of that I'm aware, but there's too much at stake here to lose. And I'm growing complacent, and soon must I choose, or be chewed up all mercilessly. But what can I do? For I'm just a penny falling, falling, falling... Falling fast, straight for the sun Falling so slow, there's nowhere to run.

Two Lovers 03:59
Two Lovers The clear, dark blue sky it casts no shadow, it casts no shadow. And the daughter's vacant sighs, they hold no marrow, they hold no marrow. She's gonna run out the door tonight to find that the one that she loves isn't waiting outside. Now her tears could fill the skies with heavy sorrow, with heavy sorrow. For her lover, he froze in fright, 'fraid of tomorrow, 'fraid of tomorrows. He should've come to that door that night, to unite, but he choked, and awoke, to nothing and no one in sight. Life then broke in through the darkness and blessed them with the sorry, certain kiss of fate, which is never, no never too late. Now they rest is peaceful dreams, in sleepy hollows, in sleepy hollows. For they've fled this mortal scene, free of tomorrow, free of tomorrows.

After Midnight I'm walking alone on this road tonight, just the streetlights watching over me. The silence gathers around my skin like a wave of tranquil misery. You see, I'm lost and confused, and I don't know what to do because my baby is light years away. Six feet under my shoes -- yeah if only that could be true! But really, he's just searching for his love and true self's "other". Now I'm wallowing with a drink in my hand pretending I've got company. Swallowing swills of forgetfulness and numbing down toxic memories. You see, I'm lost and confused, with nothing better to do, 'cause sleep is for sissies with reasons. My reason used to be you, but now I'm swimming in blue shards of breaking, memories aching, and soul-forsaking, tears for you. You see, I'm lost and confused, and I don't know what to do because my baby is light years away. Six feet under my shoes -- yeah if only that could be true! But really, he's just searching for his love and true self's "other".

Charade 03:48
Love, I want you to hold me closer than anyone before, but I can never let you know what I don't want to show, what I don't want to show. Couldn't you get to know me better by who I am today? You see, I can never let you know because the life behind me is gone, the life behind me is gone and dead. Believe me when I say our love is better off with some mystery, some mystery. Oh how I wish you'd just trust me given my hesitations. Can't you tell that I'm just trying to protect the beautiful thing we have here, it's a beautiful thing we have here. These feelings are more telling than anything I'd every have to say, I'd ever have to say. One day you'll get to know me beneath all this chicanery and see right through to the broken lost little girl I'm afraid I'll always be, I'm afraid I'll always be. Believe me when I say our love is better off with some mystery, some mystery.

Empire of Yourself You've built a palace out of mirrors, no room for anything else, you take all the love that they give you and you build an empire of yourself Nothing can stop me on my mission, I'm sorry if you're in my way. Do know that I tried, but it just doesn't matter – I've got bigger and brighter things to make. You carry heavy burdens on your shoulder, the world is watching your every move, respect and applause is important – they need to acknowledge what you do I'm young and its my time to make it, it has to happen now can't you see? One day you'll thank me for my courage, I need to become who it is that I have to be. You've built a palace out of mirrors, no room for anything else, you take all the love that they give you and you build and empire of yourself Nothing can stop him on his mission, He's sorry if you're in his way. Do know that he tried, but it just doesn't matter – he's got bigger and brighter things to make. (Outro)

The Story 04:47
The Story After all is said and done will you take me for who I am? When you look into my eyes do you see yourself a better man? Underneath all those could-have-beens is somebody I've come to know as the boy who often wears a mask and plays his parts, but is never whole Could this be all to the story? Is this the time to go home? Life can be a revolving door, it's true and we often move it along just to let things go. You are not your father's son, you see you're much more able to learn and grow So how about we pause for a moment and let the world move on its own? Deadline on Monday, commence negotiations Tuesday red eye on Wednesday, Thursday to Friday conference. The ball it keeps on rolling, what are you really looking for? There's love here waiting can't you see? Should it ever come to pass that we should part our ways will you understand? When you look into my eyes do you see yourself a better man?
